How do I create a UPI QR code?
Enter your UPI ID (VPA, like name@okhdfcbank) and the name shown to payers. Add an amount only if you want a fixed-amount QR. Download the poster or the plain QR.
Which apps can scan it?
Any UPI app: Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, bank apps and more. The code uses the standard NPCI upi://pay format.
Is it safe? Can someone take money using my QR?
A UPI QR can only receive money. Nobody can withdraw from your account by scanning it. Remember: you never need to scan a QR or enter your PIN to receive money.
Do I pay any fee?
No. The QR is free and UPI payments to individuals are free. We never see your UPI ID because the code is generated on your device.
Should I add an amount?
Leave it empty for a shop counter QR (customers type the amount). Add an amount for invoices, fees or a fixed-price item.
