Compress images online without uploading them
Most image compressors upload your photos to a server and cap you at 20 images or 5 MB. This one runs inside your browser, so there are no caps and your photos stay private. Photos are re-encoded with the browser's JPEG/WebP encoder, and PNGs use colour quantisation (the same idea behind TinyPNG) to cut file size by up to 80%.
When to compress images
- Email attachments and WhatsApp/Telegram sharing without "file too large" errors.
- Faster websites and better Core Web Vitals: smaller images load faster and rank better.
- Job and exam portals with size limits. For an exact KB size use resize image to KB.
How to use the Image Compressor tool
- Choose or drop your images (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC).
- Adjust Quality (75% is a great default) and, optionally, a maximum width.
- Check the savings for each file.
- Download one by one or press Download all (ZIP).
Why SaralKit?

Frequently asked questions
How much can I compress an image without losing quality?
Photos usually shrink 50–80% at 70–80% quality with no difference you can see on a phone or laptop. Screenshots and graphics saved as PNG shrink 60–80% with smart colour reduction.
Is there a limit on the number or size of images?
No. Because compression runs on your device, there is no upload limit. Very large batches only depend on your device memory.
Does it remove EXIF and GPS data?
Yes. Re-encoding removes camera and location metadata, which is good for privacy when you share photos online.
Should I choose JPG, PNG or WebP?
JPG for photos, PNG for screenshots, logos and images with transparency, and WebP for websites (smaller than both, supported by all modern browsers).
Why is one of my files "already optimised"?
If re-compressing would make the file larger, we keep your original so you never download a bigger file.
