About SaralKit
SaralKit is a collection of 83+ free tools for the everyday jobs that shouldn't need an account: compressing a PDF, resizing a photo for an exam form, trimming a video or checking your EMI.
Why "Saral"? Saral means "simple" in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and Telugu. That's the whole idea: the simplest way to get small jobs done, with nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay.
Why we built it
Most "free" tool sites make you sign up, limit you to two files a day, add a watermark or ask you to pay right at the download button. That's because they upload your files to their servers, and servers cost money. We took a different approach: every tool runs inside your browser, using modern web technology (WebAssembly and WebCodecs). Your device does the work, so:
- It's private. Your documents and photos are never uploaded.
- It's free, for real. No credits, no daily limit, no watermark.
- It's fast. No upload or download wait, and it often works offline.
Open source
The code is public on GitHub under the MIT licence, so anyone can check that files are never uploaded, report bugs or contribute new tools. We build on excellent open-source projects including pdf-lib, Mozilla pdf.js, Mediabunny, libheif and qrcode.
How we keep it running
The site shows a few clearly-labelled ads and accepts optional donations. Ads never block a tool and never pretend to be download buttons.
