Passport photo checklist
- Recent colour photo, plain white or light background, no shadows on the face or background.
- Face the camera directly with a neutral expression and mouth closed; eyes open and visible.
- No glasses (most countries), hats or head coverings except for religious reasons.
- Head (chin to crown) should take up about 70–80% of the photo height; the guide shows this.

How do I make passport size photos at home?
Take a photo against a plain white or light wall in daylight, facing the camera. Upload it here, choose your country's size, align your face with the guide, and download a 4×6 sheet. Print it at any photo shop or on a photo printer at 100% scale.
How many photos fit on a 4×6 sheet?
8 photos of 35 × 45 mm, or 2 photos of 2 × 2 inch (51 × 51 mm). On A4 you get about 30 photos of 35 × 45 mm.
What background colour is required?
Most countries require a plain white or off-white background with no shadows. Tick Make background white and an on-device AI model replaces your background, or stand about 1 metre from a white wall with light facing you.
Will the print be the exact size?
Yes, if you print at 100% / "actual size". The files are 300 DPI and the DPI is written into the image, so photo labs print the exact millimetres.
