Convert HEIC to JPG on Windows, Android or Mac
This converter works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. On Safari, the browser decodes HEIC natively; in other browsers we load an open-source HEIC decoder the first time you use the page (about 3 MB), and then it works offline.
How to use the HEIC to JPG Converter tool
- Choose your .heic or .heif photos (AirDrop or copy them from your iPhone first).
- Keep JPG selected, or pick PNG.
- Download each photo or all of them as a ZIP.
Why SaralKit?
- Free forever: no "credits", no trial, no premium tier, no watermark and no daily limit.
- No account, ever: nothing to sign up for. Just open the page and use it.
- No data stored: your files and the numbers you type are processed by your own browser. We never upload, store or see them.
- Works offline: once the page has loaded, most tools keep working without internet.
- Open source: anyone can read the code on GitHub.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I open HEIC photos on Windows or upload them to websites?
HEIC is Apple's high-efficiency format. Many Windows apps, older Android phones and government or job portals only accept JPG or PNG. Converting fixes that.
Is my iPhone photo uploaded?
No. The HEIC decoder (libheif) is downloaded to your browser once and the conversion happens on your device.
Can I stop my iPhone from saving HEIC?
Yes: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. New photos will be saved as JPG.
Does it keep the photo quality?
Yes. At the default 90% quality the JPG looks the same as the original HEIC.
